The Martin Luther King, Jr. Club, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization. Our purpose is to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., promote history, education, literacy, ethnic and cultural diversity. We have been serving the community for over 34 years and our key programs are listed below. We are requesting donations/sponsorships in order to keep the programs and events viable and available to the community. Please consider being a sponsor or make a donation to one or all of the programs. Your sponsorship/donation will be greatly appreciated.
• Dr. King Unity Day Program – An annual community program to remember and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
• Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Breakfast and Award – Annual event to recognize and honor clergy and/or community leaders providing outstanding outreach and services to the community by continuing the legacy of Dr. King.
• MLK Club Glyn R. Gleason Memorial Scholarship Program - Provide outstanding graduating high school students pursuing higher education with a scholarships.
• Annual Santa on Tour & Trolley Ride – Free Christmas party for kids in the community where we provide a visit with Santa Claus and a free gif, trolley ride to see decorations downtown, free food, play games and more.
• Annual Civil Rights Trips – Educational experience to learn more about African American and American History while visiting historical sites throughout the country (African American Historical Museum, Capitol Building in Washington, DC, Dr. King Historical Museum, and many more sites)
